Colors

Customize every color in your QR code while maintaining scannability.

Foreground Color

The color of the dots/modules in your QR code. For best results, use a dark color that contrasts well with your background.

• Recommended: Dark colors (black, navy, dark gray)
• Avoid: Light colors that don't contrast with the background

Background Color

The background of your QR code. White works best, but light colors are acceptable.

• Recommended: White or very light colors
• Avoid: Dark backgrounds (reduces scannability)

Contrast Requirements

For reliable scanning, maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4:1 between foreground and background colors. Our editor will warn you if contrast is too low.

Dot Shapes

Choose from 6 dot styles to match your brand aesthetic:

• Square — Classic, clean look
• Dots — Circular dots for a softer appearance
• Rounded — Squares with rounded corners
• Extra Rounded — More pronounced rounding
• Classy — Elegant diamond-like shapes
• Classy Rounded — Classy with softer edges

Corner Styles

The three large squares in the corners (finder patterns) can be styled independently:

• Square — Traditional sharp corners
• Dot — Circular outer edge
• Extra Rounded — Heavily rounded corners

Center Logo

(Pro plan)

Add your logo or icon to the center of your QR code. The logo is placed in the error-correction area, so scannability is maintained.

Logo Requirements

• Format: PNG, JPG, or SVG
• Size: Recommended 200x200px minimum
• Shape: Square logos work best
• Background: Transparent PNGs recommended

Logo Sizing

Logos are automatically sized to fit safely within the error correction area. You can adjust the size, but larger logos may reduce scannability.

Frames & Banners

(Pro plan)

Add a call-to-action frame around your QR code to increase scan rates.

Frame Styles

• Basic — Simple rectangular frame
• Rounded — Frame with rounded corners
• Banner Top — Text banner above the QR code
• Banner Bottom — Text banner below the QR code

Banner Text

Add text like "Scan Me", "View Menu", or "Get 20% Off" to your banner. Customize the font, color, and size.

Export Options

PNG Export

Best for: Web, social media, documents, email signatures.

Best Practices

Print Size

Minimum recommended sizes for reliable scanning:

• Business cards: 0.8" x 0.8" (2cm x 2cm)
• Flyers/Posters: 1" x 1" (2.5cm x 2.5cm)
• Billboards: Scale proportionally to viewing distance

Quiet Zone

Always maintain white space (quiet zone) around your QR code—at least 4 modules wide. Our exports include this automatically.
